IALHA Nationals, Fort Worth, TXOctober 18 to 22
We had an incredible Nationals this year! Our mare, Millenia, won UNANIMOUSLY both Grand Champion Senior Mare and Mare ATH !!
|
Solana is quite the pleasure horse. She is the first horse in IALHA Nationals history to win both Western Pleasure Jr. Horse and Open in the same year! She also won the Western Pleasure Futurity, and 14 y/o Lindsey also did well with Solana; Champion Western Pleasure Youth, Equitation, and a Reserve in the Amateur division. What a talented young mare!!

 |
Armand "drove away" with 4 more titles: Champion Traditional Carriage Driving Open and Amateur, Champion Country Pleasure Driving Amateur and a Reserve in the Open Division.
|
Santiago wowed the crowds with an exhibition on Friday night as the "Pegasus" and on Saturday night as a Roman war horse, along with Armand pulling a chariot. He was quite a breathtaking sight to see!!
|
|
Even the new kid on the block, 2 year old Duque did well. He was Res. Champion 2 year old Spanish Colt and received a Gold Medal Best Movement!! He is one to keep an eye on!! |
This was our first year at Nationals showing on our own, and we won the Stall Decoration Award. All in all, quite the year for us. All the hard work all year long definitely paid off!

2005 NATIONALS WAS A BLAST!
Our 13 year old Lindsey went up against some pretty tough competition, but she and Armand gave it all they had. You can't imagine the look of joy on her face as they were called for Champion in Country Pleasure Driving Amt. and then again in the Traditional Carriage Driving Amt. Lindsey and Armand are quite a team! And, if that wasn't great enough, we had our ticket drawn for the raffle colt, TB Yamil.

RA WON THE 2005 NATIONALS RAFFLE COLT!

TB Yamil comes from the well known breeder, Tomas Batalla of Costa Rica, a very generous donation. We are very pleased this coming 2 year old colt, he will make a nice addition to our breeding program.
He is gray, should mature over 16 hh, Inscribed PRE Colt. He is very brave, outgoing, and loves attention.
Look for more information on this fine young colt soon.
ROTHROCK ANDALUSIANS HAS BEEN CHOSEN by the FAB-PRE-USA to be the Midwest site for the 2005 Revision.
We hosted one of the 2005 Revision sites on Friday, October 7. We want to thank everyone for coming, especially Colonel Zapatero. The Colonel was fascinating to talk to and a pleasure to work with! Our mare Millenia TCV is now revised and ready to start her breeding career in 2006. We look forward to hosting the 2006 Revision!

THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS HORSE FEST WAS A LOT OF FUN!
Santiago was ridden by Ryan Prince, and the crowd loved them. Each performance brought more and more people to the stands, as word of the magnificent white stallion spread. He put on the fire in the ring, and yet was gentle and patient for all the girls (young and old) who wanted to pet him and have their photo taken by him.
OUR STATE OF THE ART LAB is now finished and is off to a great start. From stallion collection to embryo transfer, this lab is state of the art and has helped create numerous equine pregnancies for us and many others already.

SANTIAGO TOOK MIDWEST HORSE FAIR BY STORM!!
The Midwest Horse Fair is the largest 3 day horse event in the U.S. with over 50,000 people and 1,500 horses. Santiago made his presence known and won the coveted "Stallion Presentation Award" based on ring presentation, stall display, advertising materials, and friendliness and knowledge of farm staff manning the booth.
We normally have a professional ride him to show him off to the best of his ability, but we were unable to find a professional rider for this show, and I had to ride him myself.
I was a nervous wreck!! But, he was the Pro, and he led me through it without a glitch.
The flag presentation on Saturday night was to a packed coliseum, holding about 8,000 people. He pranced his way around the ring while I sat terrified on his back with everyone staring, pointing, and snapping photos.
The crowd loved him!
For every presentation we had in the coliseum, I had to allow extra time for all the people stopping us, asking if they could take photos. They found it hard to believe a stallion could be so beautiful, friendly, and patient. It was our first year at Midwest, and we can't wait to see everyone there again in 2006!
